Li Lianjie is perhaps one of the most famous Chinese martial artists in the world, although you might better know him as Jet Li. After retiring from the Beijing Wushu Team in 1979, he would then go on to star in numerous martial arts films. It’s a career that actually started in Hong Kong, where he began that career with Shaolin Temple in 1982. In fact, it’s fair to say that Hong Kong cinema is what propelled Li to his current stardom in the present day.
Thus, it’s no surprise why Hong Kong would want to promote their hero so badly. Shout! Studios’ Hong Kong Cinema Classics is proud to announce that they will soon release The Jet Li Collection on home video. This 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray box set collects five of Jet Li’s classics from his early Hong Kong days from directors Gordon Chan, Woo-Ping Yuen, and Corey Yuen. All remastered with restored video and audio, and with new and better subtitles. To sweeten the deal, the box set will also include new interviews, new audio commentaries, vintage featurettes, and more.
The Jet Li Collection will go on sale on July 29, 2025 in the U.S. and Canada. You can preorder it right now directly from Shout! Studios.
