It’s now 2025 and Marvel is heading into a huge stretch of movies for the long-running cinematic universe with Thunderbolts*. 2024 saw the release of the massive Deadpool & Wolverine which juggernauted to a huge total at the box office. This time around Thunderbolts* might not have the multiversal heights of that film but it still provides plenty of superhero action and a surprising bit of emotion for audiences to sink their teeth into.
The biggest question at hand though is whether or not the film has a post-credits scene and how many of them are there? Most Marvel movies have at least one post-credits scene that acts as a fun joke for audiences or a way to tease a future installment. Sitting through the credits is a rite of passage at this point. So does Thunderbolts* have one? Here’s what you need to know. And don’t fret, there are absolutely zero spoilers for Thunderbolts* in this article.
Does Thunderbolts* Have A Post-Credits Scene?

The long and the short of it is, yes. Thunderbolts* has one mid-credits scene and one post-credits scene. If you’re wondering if you can go to the bathroom and still catch it, the answer is no, you’ll miss one of them if you leave and try to come back. So for those reading this on Google, you have to sit there the entire time to see the scenes. The credits are stylized and show off the team and the meaning of that asterisk at the end of the Thunderbolts* title.
Then there’s a mid-credits scene involving one member of the Thunderbolts*. Following that, there’s the obligatory credits for the entire crew that worked on the film from effects artists to production assistants. After the credits play completely there’s a message about the Thunderbolts* making their return and then… the post-credits scene.
So These Mid And Post-Credits Scenes Actually Matter?

You bet that these scenes actually matter in the future of the MCU. Thunderbolts* is surprisingly emotional and does feel like a bit of a stepping stone to what’s coming in Fantastic Four: First Steps and Avengers: Doomsday, but it also feels like its own standalone film. This mid and post-credits scene sets up for the future of the MCU. That, however, is all you’re going to get. You’ll need to see the film for yourself to learn more about it.
Thunderbolts* releases in theaters on May 2nd, 2025.
